Northumberland still remains one of the best undiscovered places of natural beauty in the UK, steeped in history with many wonderful castles and historic houses, Hadrians Wall and the wild Cheviot Hills to name but a few. Boat trips leave Seahouses daily for the Farne Islands, weather permitting.
Waren Mill is a quiet little hamlet, perfect for getting away from it all. Budle Bay, with its bird-watching and photography opportunities is just across the road from the cottage. The footpath to Bamburgh offers stunning views across the bay, with unspoilt sandy beaches.
A visit to the Northumberland Coast would not be complete without making the trip across the tidal causeway to Holy Island (Lindisfarne). The pretty seaside villages of Warkworth, Alnmouth, and Craster are all well worth a visit.
